Ninja warranty & return policy — and how to actually claim it

Every line below is quoted from Ninja's own published policy and linked to the source. If something you bought is covered, Owed's agent can draft and send the claim for you.

Warranty

12 monthsstated window

SharkNinja warrants Ninja units free from defects in material and workmanship under normal household use. The term is assigned per product rather than brand-wide — the published tiers are one, two, three, five and seven years, plus a separate two-year limited battery warranty — so the product detail page for your model tells you which applies; one year is the floor. Defective units and non-wearable parts are repaired or replaced at SharkNinja’s sole discretion. Two details worth knowing before you call: coverage is extended by the days SharkNinja holds your unit, and if you receive a replacement, coverage ends six months after you receive it or at the end of the original term, whichever is later. Coverage applies to the original owner and original product only and is not transferable, and a shipping and handling fee may apply to a replacement.

In their own words

SharkNinja warrants that the unit shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase when it is used under normal household conditions and maintained according to the requirements outlined in the Owner’s Guide, subject to the following conditions and exclusions:

One (1) Year Limited Warranty

Warranty coverage applies to the original owner and to the original product only and is not transferable.

One (1) Year Limited Warranty — scope

The original unit and/or non-wearable parts deemed defective, in SharkNinja’s sole discretion, will be repaired or replaced up to one (1) year from the original purchase date.

What is covered by this warranty?

The warranty coverage will be extended by the number of days SharkNinja is in possession of the original unit as a result of a warranty claim. In the event a replacement unit is issued, the warranty coverage ends six (6) months following the receipt date of the replacement unit or the remainder of the existing warranty, whichever is later.

What is covered by this warranty?

Normal wear and tear of wearable parts (such as foam filters, blades, brushrolls, removeable pots, racks, etc.), which require regular maintenance and/or replacement to ensure the proper functioning of your unit, are not covered by this warranty.

What is not covered by this warranty?

If a replacement is approved under warranty, a shipping and handling fee may apply for delivery of your replacement unit.

How to get service

SharkNinja warrants that the unit shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of seven (7) years from the date of purchase when it is used under normal household conditions and maintained according to the requirements outlined in the Owner’s Guide, subject to the following conditions and exclusions:

Seven (7) Year Limited Warranty

CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS ONLY: The Warranty period begins on the original date of delivery or pick-up.

How state law applies

What they exclude

  • Normal wear and tear of wearable parts (foam filters, blades, brushrolls, removable pots, racks, etc.) that require regular maintenance or replacement
  • Any unit that has been tampered with or used for commercial purposes
  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, negligent handling, failure to perform required maintenance, or mishandling in transit
  • Consequential and incidental damages
  • Defects caused by repair persons not authorized by SharkNinja, including damage during shipping, altering or repairing by an unauthorized repairer
  • Products purchased, used, or operated outside North America
  • Coverage is limited to the original owner and the original product — it is not transferable

How to file

Contact SharkNinja support to submit a warranty claim — the team runs product care and troubleshooting first, then guides the repair or replacement. If a replacement is approved, a shipping and handling fee may apply for delivery of the replacement unit; check your Owner’s Guide for the amount that applies to your model.

If they say no

A first refusal is not the end — most claims that get paid are the ones that got answered a second time. The ladder that works:

  1. Reply in the same thread quoting the exact policy line above, with your order number and the date. Ask for a supervisor or a formal complaint reference.
  2. Escalate to an executive contact if support stalls — a specific, documented request outperforms an angry one.
  3. Use your payment rail: a card chargeback for "not as described" or "item not received" (typically within 60 days of the statement under the US Fair Credit Billing Act, and up to 120 days under card-network rules — confirm the exact window with your issuer), or a PayPal dispute.
  4. For lost or damaged shipments, file a claim with the carrier directly.
  5. Escalate externally: the selling platform's guarantee, BBB, your state attorney general, or the FTC. Small claims is the last resort.
