Warranty
36 monthsstated window
Cuisinart appliances are warranted free of defects in materials and workmanship under normal home use for three years from the date of original purchase — longer than the one year most kitchen brands offer. The clause worth acting on today rather than at claim time: if you cannot produce proof of purchase, Cuisinart treats the date of manufacture as the purchase date, which can silently erase months of coverage on an appliance that sat in a warehouse or on a shelf. Registering the product does not replace that receipt; Cuisinart says so explicitly. Coverage is limited to U.S. consumers who bought from Cuisinart or an authorized reseller for personal, family or household use, so marketplace and unauthorized-reseller purchases fall outside it. If the appliance fails within the period, Cuisinart repairs it or replaces it at no cost and supplies a return shipping label. Coffee grinders run on a separate 18-month term and outdoor products on one or three years, so check which family your item belongs to.
In their own words
“We warrant that your Cuisinart® product will be free of defects in materials and workmanship under normal home use for three years from the date of original purchase.”
Limited Three-Year Warranty
“This warranty is available to U.S. consumers who purchase Cuisinart® products directly from Cuisinart or an authorized Cuisinart® reseller at retail for personal, family, or household use.”
Limited Three-Year Warranty — who qualifies
“However, product registration does not eliminate the need for the consumer to maintain the original proof of purchase in order to obtain the warranty benefits. In the event that you do not have proof of purchase date, the purchase date for purposes of this warranty will be the date of manufacture.”
Limited Three-Year Warranty — proof of purchase
“Your ultimate satisfaction in Cuisinart products is our goal, so if your Cuisinart® product should fail within the generous warranty period, we will repair it or, if necessary, replace it at no cost to you.”

How to file
Call Cuisinart Consumer Service at 1-800-726-0190 or use the product assistance form. Have the original proof of purchase — it is the single thing that decides whether your three years runs from when you bought it or from when it was manufactured. Cuisinart provides a return shipping label under its Hassle-Free Replacement Warranty. California residents have additional statutory in-warranty service rights set out separately on the same page.

If they say no
A first refusal is not the end — most claims that get paid are the ones that got answered a second time. The ladder that works:
- Reply in the same thread quoting the exact policy line above, with your order number and the date. Ask for a supervisor or a formal complaint reference.
- Escalate to an executive contact if support stalls — a specific, documented request outperforms an angry one.
- Use your payment rail: a card chargeback for "not as described" or "item not received" (typically within 60 days of the statement under the US Fair Credit Billing Act, and up to 120 days under card-network rules — confirm the exact window with your issuer), or a PayPal dispute.
- For lost or damaged shipments, file a claim with the carrier directly.
- Escalate externally: the selling platform's guarantee, BBB, your state attorney general, or the FTC. Small claims is the last resort.
